You may wish to fish with your own gear, but it is usually a lot of extra luggage at the airport and is not necessary because we furnish quality tackle and gear that we have, through our experience, determined best for this area.

The rods are all Fenwick or Sabre and we troll with Penn International two speeds in the 30 and 50 class and an 80T. Light line fishing is done with Penn International 12T, Newell conventional, and Penn spinning reels. On board you will find all the lures, hooks, leader, swivels, and fighting belts that will be needed. We are members of the Billfish Foundation and tag sticks, tags and release cards are all standard equipment.

The boat leaves around 6:30am and you will be back in your hotel around 3:00, (unless the bite is on) with your fish cleaned and packed on ice. I then can either let you have a few fillets for your chef and your dinner, or I will take them home for you, label and freeze them.

Your fishing license is included as well as two dozen live bait. We have plenty of cold storage on board if you would like to bring refreshments such as beer or wine.
